Do school districts need to offer driver education? No. A public school student cannot be charged for the driver education that the school district must offer, regardless of when and where it is offered (Article IX, section) of the California Constitution. The vendor certification application process and fees vary for each classification. Driver education in Massachusetts is offered in public high schools and professional driving schools authorized by the RMV.
While each school has a separate license, they must meet the same criteria.
